Give them a good stir and bring the pan to a boil. Simmer at least another hour, or up to 4-5 hrs. And then add the okra, lemon juice, salt, and stock. Stir into stew (to thicken), along with the thawed peas. Meanwhile, cook cubed parsnip in salted water in saucepan, about 20 minutes (or until soft ) drain and mash ( lumpy ) with butter & sour cream. Simmer about 1 hour, then stir in the FROZEN okra ( if you thaw it first, it will be slimy ). Prep time: 2 mins (add about 5 mins if using fresh okra that needs to be cut) Cook time: 30 mins. Add all other ingredients ( through balsamic vinegar ) including juice in can of tomatoes ( enough tomato juice to totally cover everything ). Continue to cook, stirring, until the beef is browned, about 3 more minutes. Add the beef to the hot oil along with the beef bouillon, onion and garlic and cook until the beef is seared, about 5 minutes reduce the heat to medium. Reduce heat to medium, add remaining oil and onion to pan and sauté until translucent (10-15 minutes).
